As far as I recall this is my first listen to this. It's hard to compare it when using my laptop (with its' tinny speaker) rather than my Bose noise-cancelling earbuds with my phone, with is what I usually use. I've have to listen again on there to be able to better discern, but my immediate impression is that the spoken word takes it up at least another notch, making it more of an immersive experiece, not only the breathing cues which also contribute, but the actual voice (the specific timber and inflection, or whatever the technical words are to describe it appropriately) delivering the words adds a whole extra dimension of relaxation, ah, the pacing, too, whatever magical elements are involved, synthesize beautifully. Almost wrote breathily, and there is that, as well. The voice as instrument contributes more than I would have thought, not to diss the music itself in any way.
As the guy that makes the music, this comment made me very happy - and I’ll tell you why (now it’s my turn to be wordy and worthy 😄). You've articulated exactly what this music was made for - the language of the mind (words) and the language of the soul (music), working together to deepen the experience of each daily activation. This music was shared as a standalone upon request by another subscriber, but it wasn’t written to be a solo piece of music. I have composed others that are for standalone sound journeys, but that was not the intention for the daily sound activation’s music. It’s nice to know it’s serving its purpose. The timing, rhythm and instrumentation was all chosen to emulate the rhythm and sound of breath, encouraging the body/nervous system to relax and create space for the words to be accepted in a deeper way. 🎶💙
Wow. I was just listening to it again on my phone with the earbuds, and I couldn't believe how much more vibrant it was that way. Now I really want to listen to one of the standalone sound pieces. Failing that, I may have to play this every night while winding down to sleep. Of course, I already associate this piece with the activations.
I couldn't resist playing it through twice, by the way -- was still doing that when you replied -- it's pretty addictive.
