For Those Feeling Armored and Spent...
A sound activation for the ones who held it together through the fire and are only now feeling the full weight of what they carried.
It’s understood that hiding your emotions, or pushing feelings down, can be a sign of strength and possibly even an admirable thing to do. But while this may get us through the moment, emotions and feelings are never truly hidden, and they are not benign. They must be felt, and in most cases, felt deeply. Inconvenient? Sure. Uncomfortable? Most definitely. Something to be ashamed of? Absolutely not.
Feelings are proof that you are human, and you are present
If you have been through something hard, your mind needs these words, your soul needs this music and your nervous system needs this breath. Today’s sound activation is for the ones who held it together through the fire (either for themselves or for someone else) and are only now feeling the full weight of what they carried. The tears don’t always come during the hard thing. They come after, when the body finally decides it’s safe enough to feel.
Let this music be the medicine that holds you after the fire and gives you the courage to sit with your emotions. The Resonance Room is a safe place to feel and heal. Weave these sound activations into your daily routine and let the stillness and groundedness be the resonance you transmit back into the world.
Get comfortable, put on your headphones (best way to experience the journey) and let this sound carry you, exactly where you need to go :
The Resonance Room is also available to listen to on Apple Podcasts each week day. Weekend sound activations are only available to Resonance Room Plus+ subscribers.
Dear friends,
Each day, we gather here - hearts from every corner of the globe - to share a breath, a quiet pause, and send the light of our love into a dark world.
Today we send the light of our love to those returning to tenderness after a time of great intensity. To the ones who held themselves firm through something demanding and are only now, beginning to feel the full weight of what they carried. To those who are surprised to find that the tears come after - not during - because the body knew it couldn’t afford them then and softening after strength is not retreat but completion. We send our light to those who are learning that it is safe, now, to feel.
May the water find me after the fire
I allow myself to land after the intensity.
What I held firmly through the forge I can now hold gently.
I let feeling return without apology or alarm.
I do not have to stay armoured when the battle has passed.
Home is not weakness but what the fire was protecting all along.
There is a particular tenderness that only arrives after great effort.
You held something hard this week, and now you can put it down, briefly, and let yourself be held.
Today, the water arrives after the fire
The feelings that couldn’t come during the intensity are allowed to surface now.
So Let them.
They are not signs that you broke.
They are signs that you were real through all of it.
The heat of this extraordinary week is still in the walls. Something was forged and the body knows it, even if the words aren’t there yet. Late in the day, something shifts, but
This is not a step backward. It’s the necessary turn toward what nourishes, toward what reminds you why any of it mattered in the first place. The intensity of the week wasn’t the destination. The return to what’s real, what’s tender and what holds is. The doing is done for now this is the part where you find out what it was for.
This is a day for coming home to yourself, and letting what was forged this week be held with tenderness.
May your day be filled with love and light,
